Awards Sony PROduction 2014 see filmmakers unknown throughout the world Los ganadores de los premios Sony PROduction 2014 son Scarecrow in Purgatory' de Oliver Clubb (Reino Unido), en la categor a de creativos; That Time', de Benjamin Chesterton (Reino Unido), en informativos; y No Good Deed', de Michael O'Neill (Australia), en el premio destinado a estudiantes.
Los ganadores de los premios Sony PROduction 2014 se han anunciado tras la mayor b squeda de cineastas del mundo realizada hasta la fecha. Por primera vez, el concurso de este a o est abierto a participantes de todo el mundo. M s de 450 estudiantes, profesionales y aficionados al cine amateur han creado sus propios cortometrajes con el objetivo de obtener el reconocimiento del sector y tener la oportunidad de ganar la ltima tecnolog a de Sony, incluido el camcorder NEX-FS700RH NXCAM con sensor Exmor CMOS de Super 35 mm listo para 4K y el kit de micr fono inal mbrico UWP-D.
Los Premios Sony PROduction tienen como objetivo descubrir nuevos cineastas dotados de un talento excepcional y brindarles la oportunidad de desarrollar su carrera como profesionales. Los concursantes ten an que crear un corto (o utilizar uno ya existente) de 5 minutos de duraci n como m ximo y enviarlo a la p gina web de los premios Sony PROduction, donde el p blico podr a verlos y votar por sus favoritos. La votaci n popular se cerr el 7 de abril, momento en el que se hab an recibido 10 000 votos. Los quince trabajos m s votados se sometieron al veredicto de un jurado de expertos del sector que se encarg de elegir a tres ganadores, uno por cada categor a a concurso.
Los ganadores de los premios Sony PROduction 2014 son:
Creativos: Scarecrow in Purgatory, Oliver Clubb, Reino Unido
Informativos: That Time, Benjamin Chesterton, Reino Unido
Estudiantes: No Good Deed, Michael O'Neill, Australia
Philip Bloom afirm acerca del ganador de la categor a Creativos, Scarecrow in Purgatory, de Oliver Clubb, lo siguiente: Un concepto sencillo bien ejecutado. Una direcci n, un trabajo de c mara y un sonido excelentes, cumple todas las expectativas a nivel t cnico. La actuaci n principal, ligada al gui n, me mantuvo pegado a la pantalla y me arranc una sonrisa. Un corto original y muy interesante .
El cineasta austriaco Nino Leitner coment sobre el ganador en la categor a Informativos, That Time, de Benjamin Chesterton: Se trata de un precioso documental que nos muestra la vida de una joven madre y su hijo para a continuaci n revelar su lucha contra el VIH y la historia del ni o que la obligaron a entregar. Est magn ficamente grabado y cuenta con emotivas im genes a c mara lenta muy bien utilizadas que ofrecen m s informaci n sobre los protagonistas.
Molly Clarke destac acerca del ganador en la categor a Estudiantes, que No Good Deed, del director de documentales Michael O'Neill es un drama con una gran direcci n e int rpretes puesto en escena de forma muy efectiva, una tarea nada sencilla .
Cada ganador recibir el camcorder NEX-FS700RH NXCAM con sensor Exmor CMOS de Super 35 mm listo para 4K l der de Sony y un kit de micr fono inal mbrico UWP-D, adem s de publicidad para promocionar su trabajo. Adem s, dispondr de acceso a la plataforma Ci de Sony de producci n de v deo basada en la nube y almacenamiento en biblioteca.
Naomi Climer, presidenta de Sony Media Cloud Services, coment que la calidad de las pel culas que hemos visto este a o ha sido excepcional, sobre todo si tenemos en cuenta que han sido creadas con recursos limitados. Tambi n les permitir colaborar de forma m s sencilla con otros y les proporcionar las bases de lo que estoy segura ser s unas largas y emocionantes carreras .

Por primera vez este a o, las tres pel culas galardonadas se proyectar n junto con las otras 12 pel culas finalistas en la exposici n de los premios Sony World Photography, que se celebrar en la Somerset House de Londres. La exposici n tendr lugar entre el 1 y el 18 de mayo y formar parte de una celebraci n de mayor envergadura de fotograf a y fotoperiodismo.
