Shane Hurlbut, ASC. Director of Photography for multi-million dollar feature films speaks with Ben Consoli, host of the Go Creative Show about his upcoming Dreamworks film Need For Speed starring Aaron Paul plus his hugely successful blog Hurlblog and his thoughts on our thriving film making community.

About Shane Hurlbut, ASC.

Shane Hurlbut, A.S.C. was recognized by the prestigious American Society of Cinematographers after his first feature film The Rat Pack, directed by Rob Cohen in 1998. Over the course of the next decade, Hurlbut lensed eighteen additional features including Terminator: Salvation, and We Are Marshall, directed by McG, Greatest Game Ever Played, directed by Bill Paxton, and Drumline, directed by Charles Stone III and Deadfall directed by Stefan Ruzowitzky, starring Eric Bana and Charlie Hunnam. Recent work includes, Act of Valor, directed by Scott Waugh and Mike McCoy. The film was shot primarily on the Canon 5D Mark II camera and is the first HDSLR full-length feature released by a major studio. Shanes latest film, Need for Speed, for Dreamworks was directed by Scott Waugh and stars Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper and Dakota Johnson. It will be released in the Spring of 2014.
