We have another birthday in the office today! Today we're celebrating one of our well tenured employees, Zach Bernstein. Zach is truly a one-in-a-million guy. Everyone at VideoBlocks loves him for his goofy demeanor, hard working attitude and his exceptional piano skills. (If you're ever at a piano bar with him, ask him to play you his Elton John medley. You won't regret it.)

What's your name and job title?

Zach Bernstein Content Development Manager

Given that your job title probably means nothing, describe what you do on a day to day basis.

It doesn't even fit onto my business card. Really.

Along with my partners in crime, Adam and Rachel, I manage all of our content across VideoBlocks, GraphicStock, and AudioBlocks. Together we oversee acquiring it, publishing it, and even shooting it. It's a lot of work (and a whole lot of content!), but it's also very fun.

What's your favorite thing about working for VideoBlocks?

There are almost too many things to mention, but I'd have to say the people. I wouldn't be here if I didn't enjoy working, playing, and laughing with them every day. (Except for Bill. Bill is no fun at all.)

Where are you from?

Born and [partly] raised outside of Philadelphia; moved to the D.C. area when I was 11 and been here ever since.

What's your family like?

I have two younger brothers (an artist and a musician), a mom from whom I get my dashing good looks, and a dad from whom I get my unrivaled wit. I've heard that my superior intellect skips a generation, so that obviously came from my grandparents.

Describe yourself in 10 words or less.

I'll take a casual game night over a loud party. I'd rather have an adventure than follow the map. And I think it's sometimes important to ignore the rules.

What is your favorite hobby(s) outside of work?

Definitely baseball. (Go Tigers! Go Nationals!) I've played, coached, and umpired all my life (not at the same time though, unfortunately).

What's your biggest pet peeve?

At the moment, it's people who drive way under the speed limit on a highway merge ramp. It's a highway get your behinds moving.

Favorite food?

Pasta. Any kind.

Favorite color? Why?

It's blue, but no one has ever asked me why before! Now I'm questioning everything. Life was so simple just a minute ago.

Favorite movie?

Apollo 13.

Guilty pleasure?

Sad, touching songs. I'm talking Tears In Heaven style.

Ketchup or Mustard?

Ketchup but not on eggs. That's just gross.

What's at the top of your bucket list?

Taking a trip to space. It's going to happen.

List five things that are currently sitting on your desk.

A notepad, a whiteboard, notepaper (a theme is emerging here ), a go-kart trophy, and a remote control flying spaceman.
