The cat is out of the bag and Swifties all over the globe are giddy with excitement. Award-winning singer-songwriter Taylor Swift is making her feature film directorial debut in a Searchlight Pictures productions, the studio has confirmed according to E!News.

TAYLOR SWIFT TO DIRECT A FEATURE FILM According to a press release from Searchlight and reported by E!News, the film is based on an original script written by the Anti-Hero singer. All other information is being kept tightly under wraps.
Taylor is a once-in-a-generation artist and storyteller, said Searchlight Pictures presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield in the release.
It is a genuine joy and privilege to collaborate with her as she embarks on this exciting and new creative journey.
QUEEN OF MUSIC VIDEOS Although this will be Swift's first venture into feature films, she has racked up numerous awards for her music videos.

In the recent People's Choice Awards, Swift walked away as the winner in the best music video category for her hit Anti-Hero.
With the re-release of her album Red, Swift also dropped the 10-minute All Too Well: The Short Film which follows the demise of a relationship.
Fans hinted that the film was based on her relationship with actor Jake Gyllenhaal. The film starred Dylan O'Brien and Sadie Sink.

E!News reports that the romantic drama, an adaptation of the 10-minute version of Taylor's 2012 song of the same name, took home a trio of awards at the 2022 MTV VMAs and is up for a 2023 Grammy for Best Music Video.
After its screening at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival in June, Swift said: I think I gave myself permission to completely make that jump into making a narrative short film because this is not a music video. We approached everything differently.
You know, in shooting on 35 millimeter and all the decisions that were made to create these characters and dive into this world.
