All-New Episode of KCETs Global LA Explores Asian Culinary World

Global LA: Asian Fusion explores the food that comes from the unique mix of Asian ethnicities in Los Angeles, including Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese and Thai.

Burbank, Calif. - Oct. 17, 2013 - KCET, the nations largest independent television station, has announced an all-new episode of its original series, Global LA featuring Asian Fusion, premiering on KCET on Oct. 22 at 9 p.m. The hour special explores the varied Asian cultural influences on cuisine in L.A.--known for the most authentic Asian food experiences in all of the United States.

Hosted by culinary TV presenter Angela May, Asian Fusion will look at culinary delights in regions as varied as China, South Korea, Vietnam, Thailand and their impact on the Los Angeles food culture. During the show, viewers join May on a whirlwind dining extravaganza in L.A., sampling the mooncakes of Chinatown, the dim sum of San Gabriel Valley, the hot Thai spices of Thaitown, the dumplings of Koreatown and also some Vietnamese home cooking, all within L.A.--the melting pot that has a little bit of everything.
