All3Media International takes key format brands to Nigeria --

Leading independent distributor All3Media International has concluded a number of significant deals in Africa, as two of its key formats Undercover Boss and The Cube - are optioned for production in Nigeria and a host of finished content is picked up in both pan regional and local acquisitions.

Hit factual entertainment format Undercover Boss, which follows high level corporate executives as they go undercover in their own companies, have been optioned by Nigeria s EWA Media Productions. The deal takes this iconic brand a step closer to its first African adaptation, following successful versions in Australia, USA, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Spain, France, Italy, Poland and Bulgaria, alongside its original production by Studio Lambert for the UK s Channel 4. All3Media America s Undercover Boss USA, produced for CBS, currently airs across Africa on BBC Worldwide.

Ground-breaking challenge game show format The Cube has also been picked up for production in Nigeria, where it has been optioned by FanFaceOff Global Entertainment which is looking to produce a minimum of 15 episodes for air in the territory. The original version of The Cube, the show where just seven simple physical and mental challenges stand between contestants and a huge cash prize, produced by Objective for ITV in the UK, currently airs across Africa on BBC Worldwide.

All3Media International has also signed a raft of new deals for its finished programming, as North One Television s Guy Martin fronted content is picked up for broadcast across Africa. A pan-territory deal with BBC Worldwide includes Our Guy in China, series 3 of Speed With Guy Martin and the Speed With Guy Martin F1 Special, while Discovery has acquired the more engineering focused content including Guy Martin: Fastest Man on Two Wheels?, Guy Martin s Wall of Death, Guy Martin s Last of the Vulcans and Guy Martin Our Guy in Latvia for its Africa feed. At the same time South Africa s SABC has secured Gordon Ramsay s Ultimate Home Cooking and both series of Gordon s Great Escape.

Latest deals in the drama genre include the acquisition of season two of New Pictures Indian Summers by BBC Worldwide, alongside season eight of Company Pictures leading detective series Inspector George Gently, while SVOD platform Showmax has signed both series of New Pictures thriller The Missing and Bentley Productions Midsomer Murders continues to maintain star status on NBC with the debut of season 19.
