TEDIAL UNVEILS NEW STRATEGY AND EXTENDED FUNCIONALITY AT BROADCAST ASIA 0

Booth 5E1-03:Following the successful deployment of solutions that have delivered efficiencies to broadcast clients in other parts of the world and as part of its continued international expansion strategy, Tedial is extending its client base to include broadcast facilities in Asia. The company is focussing on developing business across the region and is well positioned to deliver local projects.

As an international leader in Media Asset Management (MAM), Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) and Business Process Management (BPM) solutions, Tedial is unveiling a number of key components to its product portfolio including cloud-based updates to Tarsys and extended BPM capabilities for Ficus, its powerful workflow manager. These new elements, which will be demonstrated on the booth at Broadcast Asia, will enable Tedial to deliver a wider range of solutions.

Content Management:

Tedials content manager Tarsys now includes specific features for cloud-based environments as well as multi-repository and multi-site support enabling enhanced solutions for activities such as broadcast playout.

For content re-purposing and archive operations Tedial will demonstrate improved web-based technology for Tarsys, which enables operators to easily locate content and request processes such as transcoding or editing. The companys multi-repository capability is ideal for building multi-tenant solutions where multiple clients can share a central MAM platform.

Workflow/BPM:

Achieving effective workflow continues to be a key issue for all media organisations and recognising that, Tedial was one of the first companies to market a powerful workflow manager in Ficus. Ficus now features an improved workflow creation capability using standard BPM notation to create new workflows or to improve existing ones. The ability to distribute workflows across multiple sites enables multinational broadcasters to re-allocate tasks based on local technical or human resources, or to take advantage of available expertise across the enterprise and beyond. This new version makes it easy to build multi-site solutions for global media owners.

Integration:

Tedial is announcing new plug-in technology for ENPS and Avid news applications to archive and retrieve content enabling newsrooms to connect to Tedials enterprise content manager.

Content Distribution:

With the help of Tedials content exchange software Media Amigo,Tedial is demonstrating its capability to deliver cloud solutions.
