How do you make 75 000 SEK just by having the right friend?

Lets put it simply. Were looking for a Senior Backend Developer. And if you find him/her, well give you 75000 SEK. Its actually that simple. But were not looking for just any backend developer. Were looking for the best of the best, so that we can give our customers the same.

Why would your friend want to work for Cantemo? Because were awesome? Okay, no thats not the answer. We at Cantemo are a small but creative team of developers that have taken the media management industry by storm. Our founders, Tim and Parham, recognised a growing use of video, outside of broadcast, for various different reasons. Based in Stockholm, Cantemo was established to lead the next generation of digital media management, serving both traditional video producers and those who have seen its potential to engage audiences. Clearly, if the way video is used has evolved, the way its managed also needs to do the same.

Despite our size, our customer base is a testament to that evolution, including a mix of broadcasters, brands, production companies, universities, charities and marketing agencies - many of which you are likely to have heard of. Cantemos products are actually being used right now in all seven continents, even Antarctica! We are passionate about serving these clients by building great solutions using the latest technologies.

We also believe in serving our employees. By creating a relaxed and fun environment, we believe we can create a space for employees to thrive. An environment which produces exceptional work, but also exceptional experiences.

In fact, at the end of every three week sprint, our team gathers together for a weekly Sprint Demo Day. The idea is that each team member demonstrates what theyve been up to during the last sprint and discusses their ideas, as well as their concerns. Being a small team, everyone gets to pitch their ideas knowing they have been fully considered. It also means that your friend will be very much involved in the development of Cantemo products.

We also have weekly Friday catch-ups, for which the word meeting just doesnt cut it. Thats because we will often order in our favourite pizza, crack open a beer (or three), and relax as a team.

If you spend quite a bit of time with your friend (Im talking Scooby and Shaggy), I guess the idea of them getting to travel the world meeting inspiring media industry professionals sounds a bit of an inconvenience? But theyll get to do just that, alongside building a strong and varied career. Of course, theres the boring perks of the job like leading Swedish private healthcare insurance and all of that, too.

What are we looking for? Down to the nitty gritty. What sort of skills are we actually looking for. Well, we need a problem solver, someone who can work autonomously. Ideally, they will have a minimum of 5-years relevant work experience and a bachelors or masters degree in a technical field (Computer Science, IT, etc.). Its also important that they have a good understanding of software engineering and python development, as well as fluent English. Other bonuses would be experience of HTML5, advanced JavaScript and Django development.
