TVU Networks, the global technology leader in live IP video solutions, today announced that European Broadcast Development (EBD), the leading service company in the media and television broadcast market in Italy, is switching to TVU in a multi-year deal for all of its live mobile video content services to Italian broadcasters, replacing all similar current equipment in favor of TVU. EBD will deploy the award-winning TVUPack backpack style transmitter, TVU One, TVU's newest ultra-compact mobile transmitter and TVU MLink, TVU's vehicle mounted mobile, microwave and satellite transmitter. The deal arrangement was completed with the assistance of Professional Show, TVU's official reseller in Italy.
EBD consists of a pool of companies that specialize in broadcast, providing complete and integrated services. EBD works with over 400 partners across Italy and has offices in Milan, Rome and Genova, Venezia, Torino, Bologna, Firenze, Napoli, Bari and Palermo. In addition to its comprehensive services, EBD invests every year a large amount of its revenue in research and development of new services and technologies.

With DNG (Digital News Gathering), the ENG, Uplink and troupe company of EBD Group, we will integrate TVU transmitters in all the services. The ENG troupe will become, in the near future, a live contribution for all the broadcasters. TVU One is a fifth generation, live, mobile IP newsgathering transmitter based on the same reliability, HD picture performance, and under one second latency of a full-size TVUPack backpack transmitter, but in a substantially smaller, lightweight and ultra-compact form factor. TVU One also features TVU's proprietary Inverse StatMux Plus for a broadcast quality picture even in a moving vehicle. With TVU One, broadcasters can fully leverage the versatility that a small, lightweight IP video transmitter brings in the field, without sacrificing performance, feature functionality or picture quality.
The award-winning TVUPack is a modular IP newsgathering solution that enables broadcasters to capture and broadcast live HD video of interviews and events over multiple cellular, satellite, microwave, WiFi, WiMax, and BGAN connections, giving organizations and individuals the satellite or microwave TV truck or van functionality in a lightweight backpack. TVUPack features TVU's proprietary Inverse StatMux Plus technology designed to deliver a dependable HD quality picture with under one second latency.
TVU MLink brings cellular 3G/4G LTE transmission capabilities to satellite and microwave vehicles, vans and trucks. Designed for fixed deployment, MLink is a one RU rack unit that is capable of aggregating the transmission signals from multiple transmission mediums simultaneously, including cellular, satellite, microwave, WiFi and Ethernet. The TVU MLink uses the same proprietary Inverse StatMux Plus technology that is in its award-winning TVUPack solution to deliver a dependable picture with sub-second latency.
