Emilia Clarke Feature Voice From the Stone Turns To SPLICE For Editorial & Post

Director Eric D. Howell, best known for Ana's Playground and Strangers, has wrapped principal photography on his feature film, Voice From the Stone. Starring Emilia Clarke ( Game of Thrones and Terminator Genisys ), the film was shot in Italy in Fall 2014, and since then Howell has turned to long-time post partner SPLICE .

Led by Editor and Co-Founder Clayton Condit, the creative studio is providing editorial and post-production for the feature, with final mix taking place in July at Skywalker Sound. www.splice.tv/voice-from-the-stone

Produced by Dean Zanuck ( Road to Perdition, Get Low ), Voice From the Stone is a haunting, Hitchcock-style fairy tale set in 1950's Tuscany, starring Clarke, Marton Csokas ( The Equalizer and The Lord of the Rings ), and Caterina Murino ( Casino Royale ). This film is uniquely dependent upon our cast performance and detailed post-production execution, explains Howell. In fact, the antagonistic force within the story must be entirely built in picture edit and sound design, rather than visual effects tricks. The team at SPLICE serve as both inspiring creative collaborators and nerdy technical gurus.

We have had a number of collaborations with Eric over the years, and it has been a great partnership, explains Condit, who was on-set in Italy during the production process. Eric has great instinct and is such an amazing storyteller. He captured beautiful performances from Emilia and Marton, which gives me so many options to play with in the edit.
