Editor / Camera Operator / Production Manager

We are looking for a dynamic and talented all rounder to join our team working between a production company and a wedding videography company, the ideal candidate will have the skills required to edit and shoot video for corporate and wedding clients as well as manage day-to-day administrative tasks.

The job therefore requires a candidate to be flexible and able to multi-task. This would be the ideal position for someone who is happiest working on a variety of projects and working across different roles.

Although the job requires some camera work and therefore on location shooting, the candidate will mainly be based in our office in Randburg, Johannesburg. He/she will be the point of contact for our team of freelancers, and will oversee editing and shooting schedules, managing in house gear as well as additional equipment rental specific to each job. He/she will also be required to liaise with clients over email and in person, oversee day-to-day office administration, job tracking and budget management.

The position also requires some regular marketing work including updating the website blog, updating our social media platforms, building and managing relationships with suppliers and venues.

Alongside the administrative aspects of their role, the candidate will also be involved in basic offline and online editing as well as some design work where needed.

Requirements

Formal Qualification

Your Own Transport & Valid Drivers License

Some experience in client relations

Some experience of online marketing and social media

Good working knowledge of Final Cut and Premiere Pro

Good working knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator

Competence in using Microsoft Office especially word and Excel

Excellent copywriting skills with emphasis on a good vocabulary and

command of the English language

A detailed understanding of video production work-flows

Experience of managing budgets and basic book keeping

Advantageous

Appropriate PC/Mac and software

Some of your own equipment

Photography Experience

Personal Skills/Attributes

Ability to work with and communicate well with a team of freelancers

Highly developed skills in time and priority management
