Samsung Takes Robotic Cleaning To The Next Level With Navibot Cornerclean on Feb 04, 2013 New features expand the possibilities of smart household cleaning
Samsung Electronics today announced the introduction of its new robotic vacuum cleaner, the NaviBot CornerClean (VR10F71). The new addition to the NaviBot family comes with a host of new features which provide efficient, high-performance cleaning with flexible movement, including a POP-OUT Brush and Samsung's Visionary Mapping Plus System, along with a slim, sleek design and Dust Awareness Sensor.

POP-OUT brushes provide deep corner cleaning
Consumers appreciate the convenience of robot vacuums, but some find themselves using their conventional vacuum to access hard-to-reach places such as corners. The NaviBot CornerClean solves this problem by using unique brushes to provide deep corner cleaning, rendering additional cleaning unnecessary. The NaviBot senses when a corner is approached and activates the POP-OUT brushes to thoroughly clean them.
For consumers with limited time and an appreciation for tools that help them easily maintain a clean home, the NaviBot is their solution to quality and efficient floor and carpet cleaning.
Visionary Mapping Plus System provides fast cleaning and efficient movement
Through Samsung's breakthrough Visionary Mapping Plus System technology, the NaviBot uses high-performance dual computer chips and an advanced onboard camera to capture 15 images per second of its surroundings, creating a map of the home. The NaviBot CornerClean's upgraded sensors make it extremely sensitive to obstacles, cords and other objects, so people do not have to worry about items getting it in its way. Together, this technology enables the NaviBot to determine the most efficient cleaning path for each room as it calculates its exact location and ensures all floor and carpet is cleaned.
If the battery runs low, the NaviBot knows to automatically return itself to the docking station to recharge. If the cleaning cycle has not already been completed, it returns to its last location and resumes cleaning, requiring no effort or action by the consumer themselves.
Smart features offer added convenience to consumers
The NaviBot does not pose a problem to pets or other delicate valuables in a room, as customers are able to specify restricted areas by using a Virtual Guard unit which will stop the NaviBot from crossing those set boundaries.
The NaviBot is equipped with Cliff Sensor Technology comprising of three smart sensors which detect an approaching drop, allowing it to adjust its path and continue cleaning. The NaviBot can also immediately sense when it is lifted from the ground, and will automatically stop cleaning to ensure no loss of energy.
For added convenience, the consumer can also programme the NaviBot to clean when they want, scheduling it to begin cleaning at a specific time. It can even be set to start when the customer is out of the house.
Slim design enables under furniture cleaning
The NaviBot CornerClean is designed to clean even under low furniture. At only 80mm high, the NaviBot can clean areas that often get neglected. It also features a wider brush to maximise coverage and provide faster cleaning.
UK availability
The Samsung NaviBot CornerClean will be available to buy in the UK from high street, online and out-of-town retailers in the first half of 2013. Pricing is subject to individual retailers.
