Fan-favourite The Wife actor Kwenzo Ngcobo will lead in the new drama series, Soon Comes Night on Netflix alongside Don Mlangeni and Mzansi Magic's Champions alongside Sello Maake KaNcube.

KWENZO NGCOBO: NEW ROLES Sowetan reports that the actor Kwenzo Ngcobo has secured the role of Alex Shabane in Netflix's Soon Comes Night as well as the role of Zipho in Mzansi Magic's upcoming telenovela Champions.

His character, Zipho is a titan in talent management, who grapples with the challenges of professional success and personal integrity.

According to filmmaker Eddie Ramohlale the upcoming series, Soon Comes Night is a 6-part crime drama series directed by Thabang Moleya and Sanele Zulu.

Ngcobo will star alongside actors Don Mlengeni, Albert Pretorius, Didintle Khunou, Kenneth Nkosi, Sisanda Henna, Bahumi Mhlongo and many more.

Soon Comes Night will premiere on Friday, 19 January 2024 on Netflix, while Champions premieres on Mzansi Magic in early February.

LIFE AFTER THE WIFE The talented actor Kwenzo Ngcobo, who won DStv Mzansi Viewers' Choice Favourite Rising Star in 2022 also reveals to Sowetan that life after The Wife was rewarding and challenging.

Life after The Wife was quite rewarding and challenging at the same time. I lost my dad shortly after we finished shooting the series last March.

I'm the type of person who prefers to keep my things private. I prefer to separate my life from my work I didn't want what I was going through to affect my job. I knew I had to bring my A-Game despite what I was going through.

The former Imbewu: The Seed actor adds that he was labelled a difficult actor with diva tendencies, but such a narrative didn't scare him as he made a thorough introspection and know he was never wrong.

The isiZulu actor also reveals that he is currently in a relationship and very happy.
