UK Media Sales Manager changes at SOS

Chris Cope joins the SOS Team

Sound On Sound is delighted to announce the appointment of Chris Cope to the role of UK Media Sales Manager.

An advertising sales and marketing veteran of some 30+ years, Chris has extensive experience in business management, digital solutions and print media. He has worked across many diverse sectors and industry magazines including Resolution, broadcast technology titles Production 360 and The Broadcast Bridge, as well as a number of specialist consumer music magazines and events, along with running his own media company. Peterborough-based Chris says I couldn't be more excited to become an integral part of the respected SOS team and this globally iconic magazine with its many market-leading digital offerings .

Chris will be working alongside Guy Meredith until his departure to ensure a smooth handover for clients, reporting to International Sales Director Nick Humbert and CEO Ian Gilby, and will also support the US advertising sales team of Dan Brown and David Carson.

After 15 months at Sound On Sound, Guy Meredith will be stepping away from his role as UK Media Sales Manager from June 6th 2025. I have greatly valued my time at SOS and it's been a privilege to represent this universally respected title, states Guy. I have, however, become increasingly aware that with young children there are certain family priorities that now need to take precedence, which isn't always compatible within sales for such a fast-paced global organisation spanning so many timezones and channels. I am grateful to have experienced being part of such a professional supportive team and am now looking forward to new opportunities to grow professionally in a future role better suited to my current circumstances .
