Reflecting a commitment to customer satisfaction and sustainable development
Cannes, March 27th, 2014 - Thales Alenia Space announced today that it had received the renewal of its quality certifications ISO 9001 and AQAP 2110 (NATO), EN 9100 (specific to the aerospace sector) and its occupational health and safety accreditations (OHSAS 18001) and environmental certification (ISO 14001). These certifications, officially awarded in February by AFNOR*, were renewed for all of the companys facilities.
These facilities underwent audits by five different auditors from October to November 2013. The auditors checked that Thales Alenia Spaces policy was in compliance with its quality, health, safety and environmental objectives. They also noted a general improvement in the quality management system, compared with the previous renewal audit in 2010.
Thales Alenia Space has long applied a very effective quality management system, with a complete array of best practices, applied all the way from senior management level to the many operational details characteristic of each of our business lines, explains Jean-Marc Payss , director of the quality management system at Thales Alenia Space. This accreditation by recognized organizations validates our companys maturity in a number of areas, including the space segment, satellites and the ground segment, recently certified for environmental factors, as well as components and subassemblies.
