Discovery Access's world-class footage is on its way to the VideoBlocks Marketplace, bringing more than 30 years of jaw-dropping videos to the creative community-all royalty-free. This original footage will be available for download in early 2016.

Discovery has captured the breathtaking beauty of our planet in ways that no others have, and including this content in our Marketplace is game-changing for video editors, says Joel Holland, VideoBlocks Founder and CEO.

Making premium stock footage available to everyone is a central tenant of the VideoBlocks mission. We are honored that Discovery Access entrusted us to distribute their powerful content, Holland continues.

There is always an abundance of great video footage that doesn't make the final cut and now the unused content has a home, adds VideoBlocks Head of Content Acquisition and Contributor Engagement, Greta Pittard. This partnership will bring Discovery's exhilarating content to new audiences.

Since its launch in April of 2015, the Marketplace has grown by leaps and bounds. It is now close to exceeding one million contributor uploads by the end of 2015, in part thanks to the new partnership with Discovery Access. Thousands of Discovery clips from all over the globe are currently being tagged and edited for upload to the VideoBlocks Marketplace.

All Marketplace content is available for $49 in HD or $199 in 4K per clip-a cost of 40% less per clip on average versus competitor sites. Only VideoBlocks subscribers have access to purchase and download from the Marketplace.

Keep an eye out for updates as Discovery content is added to the VideoBlocks library. In the meantime, explore the world with stock footage from more than 2,500 current Marketplace contributors.
