Home Control Technology Manufacturer Develops Markets Abroad, Signs Agreements with Distributors Sound Developments and Arocom CHANHASSEN, MN - February 15, 2005 - Installers of custom home entertainment systems outside of the United States recently gained some high-tech options for simplifying control of complex home theaters. Remote Technologies Inc. (RTI), an award-winning producer of whole-house electronic control systems, signed agreements with distributors of home technology in Canada and Switzerland. RTI selected Canadian distributor Sound Developments and Swiss distributor Arocom to deliver its universal remotes and control accessories to installers creating sophisticated systems such as home theaters, whole-house music & video, automated lighting, and more.

Remote Technologies Inc. has focused on bringing custom installers innovative control solutions for electronic entertainment systems since 1992. The company has since developed touchscreen handheld remotes that give consumers complete and simple control of any size home theater. RTI also produces a full line of accessories, such as a remote signal processor, and power- & signal-sensing modules that extend a single remote controls coverage to nearly every system throughout a home.
RTIs newest developments include innovations such as the K4 in-wall control touchpanel. It features a 6.4 screen, and is the first standalone panel with infrared control, video monitoring, and Ethernet connectivity. The companys T3 Universal System Controller is the newest handheld remote that combines a large 3.5 touchscreen with a balanced set of programmable hard buttons that make it completely customizable for any homeowners preferences. And taking the advanced control concept to completely new depths, RTI now makes its capabilities available in pools, jacuzzis, and decks with the U1 Underwater Controller. The completely waterproof, floating remote brings rich control options where normal remotes cant be used. Sound Developments and Arocom can now deliver these and more RTI products to custom installers abroad, who are seeking to give customers intuitive and enjoyable control of their home systems.
