The passion of del Prado shown in BIT Broadcast 2014 as the "Spain brand" 4 k The documentary The passion of the Prado sigue siendo el gran representante de la producci n 4K espa ola y, evidentemente, no pod a faltar en este Sal n Internacional de la Tecnolog a Audiovisual. Los principales involucrados en este proyecto, RTVE, Abertis, Hispasat, Sony, Sapec y Apuntolapospo, se han reunido en una mesa redonda para explicar c mo ha sido la evoluci n de este proyecto.
The main actors involved in this project has brought together in IFEMA para explicar c mo surgi la idea y c mo ha ido desarroll ndose el proyecto hasta convertirse en una aut ntica producci n 4K con una gran repercusi n a nivel mundial.
Para explicar a los asistentes c mo ha sido la realizaci n y evoluci n de proyecto, se han reunido en una mesa redonda Juan Carlos Gonz lez de RTVE, Xavier Red n de Abertis, Miguel ngel Cristobal de Sapec, In s Sanz de HISPASAT, Paul Turrents de Sony and Jos Mar a Aragon ss Apuntolapospo.
Para conocer sus or genes hay que remontarse a la prueba piloto realizada en Barcelona hace ya dos a os, iniciativa que dio paso al actual documental que se est exhibiendo. Se trataba de un corto que giraba en torno a la Ciudad Condal y mostraba el urbanismo, la arquitectura singular y sus entornos. M s tarde esta experiencia, se traslad a las salas del Museo del Prado.
Decidimos que fuera el Museo de El Prado el objeto de este primer proyecto 4K ya que el arte nos permite mostrar todo lo que puede ofrecer esta tecnolog a. Es un contenido que nos permite aprovechar la definici n y calidad del color de la ultra alta definici n. Adem s, es una manera de llevar la joya de la cultura espa ola m s all de nuestras fronteras. 4K ha venido para quedarse. Tenemos la tecnolog a, ahora hay que desarrollarla y unirla a la marca Espa a , explica Juan Carlos Gonz lez.
Esta ha sido la primera producci n que TVE ha realizado con esta tecnolog a pero en su cartera est n previstos otros proyectos que ver n la luz a lo largo de este a o y el que viene. El primero que estamos haciendo gira alrededor de la m sica, Jordi Savall. Para despu s del verano tendremos preparado un documental sobre El Greco y ya para final de a o esperamos haber acabado el de Altamira, la primera catedral del arte, aunque este ltimo est resultando m s complicado ya que es una producci n muy ambiciosa que plantea grandes retos. Para 2015 y aprovechando el quinto centenario de Santa Teresa de Jes s tenemos previsto realizar una producci n en torno a este tema, titulada Dios entre pucheros .
Filming and production
Para realizar este documental, un equipo de TVE recorri las salas del Museo del Prado para acercar a los espectadores la magia y la luz de 400 obras maestras de las m s de 9.000 que atesora el Museo del Prado. El objetivo del documental es dar una visi n completa de la pinacoteca madrile a, mostrando la historia y creaci n del Museo y las distintas colecciones que en l se encuentran expuestas. El 4K permite una resoluci n que imita la realidad y ofrece gran calidad en la percepci n del color y las texturas, fundamental en la reproducci n de obras de arte.
Hispasat y Abertis, que han patrocinado la producci n del documental, han proporcionado los medios t cnicos necesarios para el desarrollo del proyecto, junto a la productora Apuntolapospo, a cargo de la edici n y postproducci n del documental, con los recursos de producci n, como la c mara Sony F65, de la compa a Ovide, que captur las im genes en 4K. TVE se ha hecho cargo de la organizaci n, producci n, direcci n y realizaci n de todo el proceso de grabaci n.
La c mara Sony F65 est equipada con sensor CMOS de 8K con el que pudimos hacer un trabajo m s cercano al cine que a la televisi n. Nos permit a conseguir que el rodaje fuera lo m s sencillo posible y, adem s, nos facilitaba la graduaci n del color. En la producci n que estamos haciendo tendemos a monitorizar en 4K y a realizar la correcci n del color desde la propia c mara , comenta Paul Turrents.
Tras realizar los contenidos, la siguiente fase era la producci n, conseguir que todo ese trabajo filmado en 4K pudiera ser visualizado la misma calidad y caracter sticas que aporta esta tecnolog a. Con lo ltimos avances que se han conseguido podemos trabajar de forma no lineal, aleatoria, multiformato y de forma simult nea. En el caso de El Prado, el montaje, grafismo y sonido se realiz directamente en las estaciones de TVE. Realmente, en composici n s lo se hicieron algunos peque os efectos. Por su parte, las exhibiciones se hicieron con una resoluci n de 3840 2160 a 10 bits, en RGB, y con un aspecto de ratio de 1:85 , aclara Jos Mar a Aragon s.
Video compression
Para Miguel ngel Cristobal de Sapec el principal problema se encontraba en los sistemas de comprensi n ya que actualmente, hay muy pocas redes que permitan este tipo de transmisi n y pod amos llegar a muy pocos usuarios. La soluci n la encontramos en el nuevo formato de comprensi n, HEVC-ITU H.265 .
El formato HEVC mejora la eficiencia de comprensi n en un 50% y permite soportar nuevos formatos de mayor resoluci n como UHDTV.
Desde la primera experiencia realizada en Barcelona, hasta la actual versi n que se fue exhibida en la pasada edici n de Canmes se ha conseguido pasar de los 25 fps a 50 fps, se ha evoluci n del sistema de codificaci n H-.264 al H.265 y hemos conseguido aprovechar las actuales infraestructuras de TDT y sat lite. Adem s, ahora tambi n contamos con nuevos dispositivos que permiten que 4K sea una realidad .

La intervenci n de Xavier Red n ha puesto de relieve el gran avance que ha sufrido la TDT que no ha parado de incorporar mejoras y el ltimo paso ha sido el 4K.
