RT today announced a record lineup of coverage for the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games.

Broadcasting live across 12 days from Wednesday August 28 to Sunday September 8, RT will provide its largest ever range of television coverage of the Paralympics, with 104 hours on RT 2, as well as an unprecedented amount of RT Player exclusive content.

RT Player will be offering over 500 hours of live action available to watch over four digital channels, ensuring Irish audiences can experience all the action and success of Team Ireland as it happens.

Following the excitement and medal haul for Team Ireland at the Olympic Games, RT will have comprehensive reportage to keep everyone up to date with Paralympic action for the weeks ahead. Supporters can follow all the activity live from Paris daily across RT 2, RT Radio 1 and RT News, 2FM, RT Player and on RT .ie.

The action will kick off in Paris with a reimagined Opening Ceremony, which, like the Olympic Games, will take place outside of the traditional stadium opening ceremony format. RT will have live commentary from John Kenny and former Paralympian, James Scully.

As part of RT 's extensive coverage of the Games, RT 2 and RT Player will follow the 35 strong Team Ireland, bringing viewers the most up-date information every morning with live feeds for Paris Paralympics 2024: Matin.

Dar ine Mulvihill will present live from Paris in the afternoon for Paris Paralympics 2024: Apr s-midi and Evanne N Chuilinn will be sharing evening highlights and analysis from Dublin with Paris Paralympics 2024: Soir.

Eamon Horan, Siobhan Madigan and Darren Frehill will report from Paris for RT 2 and RT Player as well as providing updates on RT Radio 1 including Morning Ireland, Today with Claire Byrne, and News At One.

RT 2FM's Game On will wrap up the day's news, reports and action from Paris while at the weekend on RT Radio 1, Saturday Sport and Sunday Sport will have more coverage and analysis. Raidi na Gaeltachta will also provide updates on sports bulletins during the week and sports coverage at the weekends.

Viewers can get their Paralympics fix in advance of the Games with Para-swimmer Nicole Turner and Para-cycling veterans Katie-George Dunleavy and Eve McCrystal in Paths to Paris on RT Player. The four-part series follows Ireland's top medal prospects as they strive to qualify for the greatest show on earth, the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
