Commenting ahead of the show Maura Derrane said: It's such an achievement for everyone working on the show to reach 1000 episodes. We are all very proud. It's all down to great commitment from everyone in RT Cork and to our loyal audience who have journeyed with us for eight years. We are so thankful to them.
D ith O' S added: I remember getting a call from the boss at the time asking me if I would like to go to Cork for a few months. I didn't realise his few months meant 96 months and counting It is really great to see how the show has changed and evolved down the years and I really think this year we have the perfect formula. A special mention and word of thanks to the audience - if it wasn't for your loyalty we wouldn't be here. Go raibh m le maith agaibh.
James Patrice will be backstage at Dancing with the Stars rehearsals to exclusively reveal the final two celebrity dancers who will take to the dancefloor, when the series returns on Sunday, 5 January, 2020. The Rebel Brass band will be performing throughout the show, increasing in numbers and volume as the show goes on.
