New CTIO at Magyar Telekom

Magyar Telekom's Board of Directors appoints Lubor Zatko to the Chief Technology and IT Officer position with effect from October 01, 2019, also to become a member of Magyar Telekom's Management Committee.

Lubor Zatko (45) received his engineer degree at the Faculty of Informatics and Electrotechnicsof the Slovak Technical University. He started his career at SIRIUS VD in 1997, as Head of the Technical Department. In 2000, he became the Senior Network Operations Manager of Cesky Mobile (ma Vodafone CZ), then took over the Operations and IT Operations Director position in 2004, and later the Regional IT and Operations Director of the CE Region at First Data International. From 2008, he worked as Lead Technology Partner at Barclaycard, and then moved to Slovak Telekom in January 2009, where he worked as Senior IT Consultant, and from 2010, as Senior Manager Technology Strategy, Architecture and Budget Management. In June 2016, he was appointed Network Development and Delivery Director, the position from which he moves to Magyar Telekom. He has 20 years of international experience in the areas of telecommunications and IT, his previous responsibilities have ranged from mobile network development projects to fix-line network transformations, and the completion of IT transformation and investment projects.

His executive responsibilities at Magyar Telekom Group will cover overseeing the network development and operations, IT architecture development and operations activities. By appointing Lubor Zatko, we add an expert to our ranks who will be a valuable member of the management team.
