Additional measures for communication channels reservation to minimize possible consequences of the fire in the cable collector at Nemiga str. for subscribers of RUE Beltelecom 04.12.2015

After a similar fire in this cable collector in December 2014 the specialists of RUE Beltelecom took additional measures for communication channels reservation and alternative routes organization. Subscriber communication lines of utmost importance were automatically switched to a backup route which allowed to minimize possible consequences of the fire for the subscribers of RUE Beltelecom.

Currently, about 100 subscribers of RUE Beltelecom (individuals and legal entities) at Nemiga str. have difficulties with communication. The losses RUE Beltelecom have incurred in connection with this emergency situation have not been calculated. Fiber-optic and copper communication lines are being replaced. According to the estimations of RUE Beltelecom experts, it is necessary to replace 100 meters of the cable. The subscribers of copper lines will be provided with communication by the end of the day. Repair works on the replacement of fiber-optic lines will be carried out today and tomorrow, including night-time. Technical services are doing everything possible to eliminate the consequences of the emergency situation as soon as possible.

The message on the fire in the cable collector at Nemiga str. 3 was received by Fire Rescue Service available by the number 101 at 05- 46 a.m. on December 04, 2015. Read more.
