Munich, September 17, 2013. maxdome, Germanys largest online video library, has just been launched in Austria. In addition to the www.maxdome.at website, the online video library is now available via an app on Samsung smart TVs. With over 50,000 titles, maxdome currently offers Europes largest selection of online content.

The launch in Austria is a big step for us. We are expanding our technical reach by 2.6 million households. Austrians have a high affinity for online media and, thanks to the expansion of the broadband network, the technical conditions are in place for the launch. We feel this step has tremendous potential, says Andreas Heyden, Managing Director of maxdome.

The online video library offers a wide selection of feature films, series, documentaries, reports, concerts, childrens programming, and much more. The programs are available at any time of day and can be watched on-demand. Many titles are offered in high definition and with original sound even before the television broadcast. Even series fans will get their moneys worth: maxdome makes many series available upon their U.S. launch as Download-to-Own options. With over 50,000 titles, maxdome has the largest online selection in Europe. Videos can be downloaded individually, for rental with a purchase option, and as part of a subscription package. Videos can be accessed via Smart TVs, set-top boxes, connected Blu-Ray players, smartphones, tablets, computers, and laptops.
