Goals for Girls: A story of women with balls which has received critical acclaim premiering at prestigious festivals across the world such as Amnesty International Sidelines festival in London is now available for purchase by educational institutions.

The film has been distinguished as a tool to promote human rights by the Argentina government and was a highlight at Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival(BAFICI) and Havana International Film Festival.

The film investigates the ignored world of women s football in Argentina. Using the story of a team from a shantytown in Buenos Aires as a starting point, the women of the Villa 31 and players from different backgrounds reveal that family prejudices combined with complete abandonment by local authorities conspire against the development of a sport that has grown worldwide. These players have to fight on and off the field to ensure that the words of the president of FIFA come true: the future of football belongs to women .

GOALS FOR GIRLS' is ideal for classroom and educational use to spark debate and to use as a study tool for students of Latin America, Spanish language, Women's or Sports studies. The 75 minute film is recommended for ages 12+. It has English subtitles and neutral Spanish closed captioning.
