Switzerland-based technical service provider drives ultimate camera flexibility with the purchase of LDX Premi re cameras and XCU eXchangeable control units

Hillsboro, Ore., January 16, 2014 auviso audio visual solutions, a technical service provider in Lucerne, Switzerland, has purchased four LDX Premi re advanced imaging cameras and XCU Elite eXchangeable Control Units with triax transmission from Grass Valley to ensure ultimate camera flexibility for the variety of rental and staging services it provides to its varied client base. Working in tandem, the LDX cameras and XCU base stations provide auvisos clients with a versatile solution for capturing creative images across a range of productions and venues.

The LDX Premi re is part of Grass Valleys high-quality LDX Series of camera systems, which also consists of the LDX Flex , the LDX Elite , and the LDX WorldCam . The LDX Premi re is a high-performance economical dual format HD camera optimized for all broadcast applications offering an unrivalled performance both in cost and imagery. Its core technology is based on the Grass Valley Xensium FT CMOS imager, which enables the camera to deliver superb picture quality even in low light conditions. The LDX Premi re can be scaled up through the GV-eLicense upgrade model that expands the cameras capabilities to 3G 1080p operation.

For optimized control, the LDX Series works in conjunction with XCU base stations, providing full 3G transmission connectivity for both triax and fiber. The unique cradle of the XCU can be pre-mounted and pre-wired in the rack, forming a secure mechanical and electrical connection, so the XCU base stations can easily slide in and out as needed making them ideal for transfer between OB vans, studios, or any other location.
