NHL Announces Executive Promotions

With just over a week to go until the start of a new, full, National Hockey League season, the commissioner's office formally announced a lengthy list of promotions. Many of the promotions come in regards to the league's media and event outreach.

The new titles include:

David Proper to Executive VP, Business Affairs

Don Renzulli to Executive VP, Events

Dean Matsuzaki to Senior VP, Events

Emily Nasits to Vice President, Events

Stephen McArdle to Executive VP, Digital Media and Strategic Planning

Nili Doft to Vice President, Direct and Digital Marketing

Jarod Were to Director, Business Support

Bob Chesterman to Senior VP, Programming and Production

Eric Eisenberg to Director, Programming and Operations

Ivan Gottesfeld to Senior VP, Broadcasting

David Proper to Executive VP, Business Affairs from EVP of Media

In addition to his existing responsibilities for media strategy and distribution, David Proper will now also assume a new role as Executive VP, Business Affairs, coordinating business affairs across all Media and Business departmental lines.

Don Renzulli to Executive VP, Events from SVP, Events

Dean Matsuzaki to Senior VP, Events from Vice President, Events

Emily Nasits to Vice President, Events from Director of Broadcast Relations

Don Renzulli is being promoted to Executive VP, Events. Dean Matsuzaki will lead all event operations, and as such is being promoted to Senior VP. Emily Nasits also will join Don's group from Broadcasting as Vice President and will oversee broadcast production specific to NHL events.

Stephen McArdle to Executive VP, Digital Media and Strategic Planning from Senior VP

Nili Doft to Vice President, Direct and Digital Marketing from Senior Director

Jarod Were to Director, Business Support from Manager

Stephen McArdle is being promoted to Executive VP, Digital Media and Strategic Planning. Additionally, Nili Doft is being promoted to Vice President and will continue to have oversight over the GameCenter Live and direct-to-consumer digital portfolio. As Steve will continue to lead the strategic planning function, Jarod Were is being promoted to Director and will take on a larger role in coordinating cross-departmental strategic planning efforts.

Bob Chesterman to Senior VP, Programming and Production from Vice President

Eric Eisenberg to Director, Programming and Operations from Manager

Bob Chesterman is being promoted to the position of Senior VP, Programming and Production, and will report to NHL COO John Collins with responsibility for all video programming and production for the NHL Network, NHL.com and NHL Studios. Eric Eisenberg is being promoted to Director, Programming and Operations, and will report to Bob on NHL Network operations, programming and content management.

Ivan Gottesfeld to Senior VP, Broadcasting from Vice President

Ivan Gottesfeld is being promoted to Senior VP, Broadcasting and will report to NHL COO John Collins. Ivan and his team will have overall responsibility for the production aspects of our national and regional broadcast relationships, as well as in-arena production.
