The new integration will allow Final Cut Pro editors to access media and metadata in Viz One from an easy-to-use, web-based interface.
Vizrt, a leading provider of content production systems for the digital media industry, announced today new integration between Viz One and Apple Final Cut Pro X software with Apple ProRes file formats.
Viz One extends its file-based production workflow to include Apple Final Cut Pro and new Apple ProRes file formats; ProRes 4444 (including alpha), ProRes 422 (HQ), ProRes 422, ProRes 422 (LT), and ProRes 422 (Proxy). Adding media to a Final Cut Pro X project is now possible at the touch of a button, while sending a finished project back to Viz One is achieved simply by a dragging and dropping content into Studio - the Viz One web application.
With the native support for Apple ProRes file formats in Viz One including archival, retrieval, and partial-restore support, it makes ProRes the perfect choice for video archives. Film and HD originated content can also be stored in Viz One and maintained at the same high quality as ProRes 444.
The Apple ProRes file formats are a natural addition to Viz One. With Viz Engine's existing support for ProRes file formats, they'll be ideal as an end-to-end house format for Vizrt customers who are using Final Cut Pro X. said Petter Ole Jakobsen, CTO. Several broadcasters are keen to upgrade to Final Cut Pro X with Viz One. With this integration we open to door for editors to access entire libraries of media from Final Cut Pro X, which will greatly improve their daily workflow.
