PBS Wins 11 News & Documentary Emmy Awards

More Than Any Other Organization

ARLINGTON, VA; October 1, 2014 PBS programs were honored with 11 News & Documentary Emmy Awards, more than any other organization, at the 35th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Awards presentation at the Frederick P. Rose Hall, Home of Jazz at the Lincoln Center, in the Time Warner Center in New York City on September 30.

We are so proud of the work our producers are doing to bring important and informative stories to the public, said Beth Hoppe, Chief Programming Officer and General Manager, General Audience Programming for PBS. Tonight's honors demonstrate that PBS and our member stations are the top destinations for news and documentary programming. We congratulate all our producers who were winners and nominees tonight.

Acclaimed PBS series FRONTLINE earned four, followed by INDEPENDENT LENS with three. Charlie Rose was also honored with a News & Documentary Emmy for Outstanding Interview for his one-on-one with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad which aired on CHARLIE ROSE on PBS and CBS THIS MORNING.
