CALL FOR APPLICATIONS - OMDC's International Financing Forum (iff) - September 10- 11, 2017

The Event

iff is OMDC's feature film co-financing and co-production event at the Toronto International Film Festival for independent producers and industry executives developing and financing English language projects for the world market. Selected international and Canadian producers are brought together with international sales agents, US distributors, equity financiers, agents and executive producers for brokered meetings and exclusive networking opportunities.

Background

Now in its 12th year, iff has introduced hundreds of projects to the international marketplace with over 70 successfully financed to date. At iff 2016, OMDC scheduled over 700 one-on-one meetings and brought producers together with each other and representatives from: A Company Film Licencing Intl, ACE, Amazon Studios, AMBI Films, Backup Media, Bankside Films, BBC Films, Beta Cinema, Big Beach Films, Cinetic Media, Echo Lake Entertainment, Elle Driver, Film4, Films Distribution, Fox Searchlight, Gamechanger Films, ICM Partners, IFC Films/Sundance Selects/IFC Midnight, Ingenious Group, K5 International, Los Angeles Media Fund, Magnolia Pictures, Maven Films, Mongrel International, Netflix, Participant Media, Pinewood Pictures, Protagonist Pictures, Seville International/eOne Films, Studio Canal, Sundance Film Festival, TF1 Studio, The Match Factory, Universal Pictures International Entertainment, Visit Films, William Morris Endeavor, WTFilms, XYZ Films, and ZDF Enterprises.

Guidelines and Application Process

Canadian and international feature film producers are eligible to participate in iff 2017. Registration is free but competitive. Final selection to participate is based on company track record, pitch package and the suitability of projects.

Eligible applicants must have at a minimum:

one full producer credit (not executive or co-producer credit) on a theatrically released feature by a recognizable distributor;

a market oriented English-language project in development that requires international co-production and/or financing partners.

Please note: iff accepts non-English-language projects only with prior approval of iff producer.

Priority will be given to projects that have not premiered at other co-financing or co-production markets. We accept one project application per company.
