Rocky Mount Mills Gains Bookstore-Coffee Shop, Books and Beans

NC Author Etaf Rum is opening Books and Beans, a combination book store and coffee shop, at Rocky Mount Mills starting the week of October 21, 2019.

Rocky Mount Mills is about to have a place to buy books and coffee. Author Etaf Rum believes in the transformational power of books and coffee to build community, conversation, and culture. This week, she is opening a bookstore and coffee shop at Rocky Mount Mills called Books and Beans in the old canteen where the mill workers ate breakfast, lunch, dinner and socialized with each other.

Rum's debut novel A Woman Is No Man became a NY Times Bestseller this year just as she was coming to the conclusion that her city, Rocky Mount, needed a place for thinkers and writers to gather and share ideas. Here's to the combination of books and conversation and coffee it's powerful stuff.
