FloSports Set To Launch New FloCollege' NCAA Platform Focused on DII, DIII Partner Conferences Digital offering will feature the most DII, DIII women's sports of any streaming platform By Jason Dachman, Editorial Director, U.S.

As the college-sports-market media landscape undergoes seismic change, FloSports is going on the offensive with the launch of FloCollege. The new platform will package live-streamed events, sports data, editorial content, and social programming to support teams and athletes from FloSports' conference partners across all divisions, with a particular focus on DII and DIII programs.
FloCollege will also boast the largest portfolio of women's sports at the DII and DIII level available on any streaming platform today. FloCollege, which is being announced today at the 2024 NACDA & Affiliates Convention, is scheduled to launch in October in advance of the winter sports season.
FloSports plans to invest more than $50 million in FloCollege to support rights fees, production, content, product technology, and marketing. Direct investment in conference rights will help member institutions apply funding toward their own broadcast and production capabilities to further enhance the quality of coverage across all sports, ensuring parity and inclusivity.
Parity will be most visible in the representation of women's sports on the platform: FloCollege will host more than 4,000 live women's games in the 2024-25 season. The events include a wide variety of match-ups, from premier women's basketball in the Big East to National Champion Cal State LA women's volleyball team. Over the past three seasons, FloSports has more than doubled the number of women's sports events streamed on its platform, with more than 49 million live minutes consumed in the 23-24 season.
We believe the launch of FloCollege is a watershed moment for college athletics at a time of massive transition, says FloSports CEO Mark Floreani. There is no single platform serving today's athletes and member institutions at the DII and DIII level with live event streaming, editorial, and social like we are planning. We are looking forward to working with our partners to make this a sustainable model for growth in the years ahead that can provide critical funding to many of these smaller institutions.
FloCollege partners at launch will include the BIG EAST, Coastal Athletic Association (CAA), Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC), Landmark Conference, New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC), South Atlantic Conference (SAC), Gulf South Conference (GSC), California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA), and Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SCIAC), with more on the horizon.
In total, these conferences represent more than 1,000 teams across men's and women's athletics from 68 schools that have a significant footprint in the country's top media markets, including New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington, DC. Combined, they will deliver more than 10,000 live games on FloCollege during the 2024-25 season.
With the launch of FloCollege and the financial investment FloSports is putting behind it, says CCAA Commissioner Allen Hardison, I am confident that it will become the premier destination for college-sports fans. Our student-athletes want to play on a platform that also showcases the other top conferences in the nation, and that is exactly what FloCollege will be. The FloCollege launch will coincide with the release of an updated FloSports connected-TV app that will provide fans with the FloSports viewing experience on Roku, Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Android TV devices this fall. The updated app will feature enhanced personalization, discoverability, and streaming capability, making it easier for users to find and favorite the teams, games, and sports they love.
To enhance the FloCollege offering, FloSports is currently pursuing corporate brand partners to serve as FloCollege Founding Partners. Strategic partners will be offered the opportunity for integration across FloCollege channels and a valuable presence in live-stream coverage. FloSports college programming reached more than 38 million people in 2023 with more than 51 million live minutes watched for NCAA conference-partner events in the 2022-23 season.
