CRYSTAL VISION SHOWS LATEST KEYING, AUDIO AND DISTRIBUTION SOLUTIONS FOR THE FIRST TIME IN SINGAPORE AT BROADCAST ASIA 2014 (STAND 5E2-09) 01 May 2014
Crystal Vision will be showing its new control options for its Safire 3 real-time chroma keyer on stand 5E2-09, at this year's Broadcast Asia exhibition in Singapore. Also on show for the first time in South East Asia will be the MultiLogo three layer logo keyer which provides internal storage for up to 500 graphics and advanced audio features and the LKEY 3 linear keyer. There will also be dual channel embedders and video distribution amplifiers to help suit different applications and budgets and Crystal Vision will be introducing the ADP 310 which provides discrete audio processing and delay for both analogue and digital audio. The show will take place at Marina Bay Sands between 17th and 20th June.
Crystal Vision will be demonstrating the new range of control options for the Safire 3 real-time chroma keyer, which has not been shown before within the South East Asian market. Ideal for all live virtual productions, Safire 3 works with 3Gb/s, HD and SD sources and features multi-point sampling for easy auto-setup, an extensive range of fine-tuning tools including built-in colour correction and lighting compensation, and timing adjustments including a frame synchroniser on each input and ten frames of video delay. The latest enhancements for Safire 3 have focused on making it a pleasure to operate, with the two new control methods developed through consultation with knowledgeable customers who operate chroma keyers on a daily basis. The Safire 3 Controller is a stylish 3U control panel able to operate any number of Safire 3 chroma keyers over an Ethernet network. It comes with a large, eight inch touch screen and physical controls making it ideal for live use. Eight hard buttons can be used to select the chroma keyer to be controlled, to monitor the incoming and outgoing signals and to recall and store presets and can also take the operator straight to the home screen or back through previous menus. Soft buttons on the touch screen are used in conjunction with physical knobs to access the various intuitive setup menus, which allow the key processing, masks and engineering settings to be configured with ease. VisionWeb Control is a free control option that is also available now and allows the Safire 3 to be operated via a web browser running on any device connected to the same network from PC to tablet. Control menus have a similar feel to those of a Safire 3 Controller and to access these the operator simply has to type the IP address of the frame into the web browser.
The MultiLogo logo keyer is ideal for engineers seeking a powerful keying device. It is a sophisticated video and audio branding tool for adding up to three graphics to HD or SD video sources, and provides 4GB or 8GB of internal storage for up to 500 graphics. Features include numerous key processing controls, look ahead preview, clip recording and trimming, QuickText, the ability to store 255 partial presets and relay bypass protection. These new versions of MultiLogo are ideal for video and audio branding applications. They can embed up to four audio groups into their video outputs, with audio mixing allowing this output audio to be generated from a mix of the audio embedded on the video input and a voiceover or sound effect sourced from either the two internal audio stores or from an external AES input. The voiceover or sound effect can be faded in and out and have its level adjusted, while the main programme audio can be partially or fully dipped allowing it to be either mixed with or replaced by the voiceover. The audio can also be cross-faded between the video inputs.
For more simple keying applications, LKEY 3 is a new linear keyer which hosts numerous features for a smaller price tag and will be on show for visitors at Broadcast Asia to see. This modular linear keyer is designed for the simple keying of one graphic over 3Gb/s, HD or SD video streams. It brings with it a number of new features never before appeared on a Crystal Vision linear keyer. It is the company's first 1080p-compatible linear keyer, and features masks with adjustable edge softness, as well as a frame synchroniser on each input along with ten frames of video delay ideal for matching any big system processing delays.
New products for both discrete and embedded audio will also be on show for the first time at Broadcast Asia on stand 5E2-09, such as the ADP 310. This is a flexible audio processor and delay line for systems using discrete analogue or digital audio, and is designed for applications such as processing audio, matching audio to a delayed video path or reordering audio channels. It can provide processing and delay for four stereo pairs of AES or two stereo pairs (four mono channels) of analogue audio, with the audio inputs and outputs configured using the standard Crystal Vision piggybacks: the 3G-AIP2 and 3G-AOP2 for analogue audio and the DIOP4 for AES. The ADP 310 provides extensive audio processing including audio gain adjustment, stereo to mono conversion and channel muting and inversion. The ADP 310 can also be used as an analogue or digital audio delay line, with up to 400ms of user adjustable delay available. Flexible audio routing allows any of the channels to be shuffled. Signal monitoring is available, with two GPI outputs providing alarm indication of reference missing and audio silence.
Shipping now, the TANDEM 320 is Crystal Vision's latest embedded audio product. For engineers who require multiple channels of straightforward embedding or de-embedding where price is a factor, TANDEM 320 is ideal with its ability to fit 24 channels of embedding or de-embedding in 2U. The dual channel TANDEM 320 can embed and de-embed into two separate 3Gb/s, HD or SD
