Digital Catapult works with SMEs to help them grow and scale faster and with larger corporates in their digital transformation. It does this through programmes of collaboration and open innovation, by bringing academic leading edge expertise into the mix combined with the organisation's own business and technological expertise.
IoTUK Boost is funded by Government as part of the IoTUK research and innovation programme, underlining the importance of IoT for the UK's digital economy. IoTUK Boost aims to address barriers to entry into the IoT marketplace across the country. The initiative will look to drive experimentation and innovation in areas including healthcare, traffic and transport services, energy management and environmental sensing.
As part of IoTUK Boost, ADI will hold meet ups, open calls and training workshops to stimulate engagement wi
th the test network. ADI is aiming to work with at least 10 SMEs or entrepreneurs, to help them to bring early stage IoT products and services to a commercial prototype stage, or early market release.
In order to bring the programme to fruition, ADI has teamed up with leading UK communications infrastructure company, Arqiva and University of Leeds. Arqiva's experience of connecting the UK to the ultra narrow band SIGFOX global IoT network is unprecedented, whilst University of Leeds is able to identify young entrepreneurs with IoT ideas and the drive to turn them in to marketable products.
