DIRECTV has announced an agreement to carry nine new MLB-operated team channels, covering the Cincinnati Reds, Detroit Tigers (Detroit SportsNet), Kansas City Royals, Miami Marlins, Milwaukee Brewers, Seattle Mariners, St. Louis Cardinals, Tampa Bay Rays, and Washington Nationals. The channels will provide local game coverage within each club's home territory.
MLB fans can continue to rely on DIRECTV to deliver their favorite local teams, says Rob Thun, Chief Content Officer, DIRECTV. We remain committed to working with the league and its clubs to keep loyal fans connected.
With these additions, DIRECTV has now collaborated with MLB to launch 14 team-specific channels. Previous launches include the San Diego Padres and Arizona Diamondbacks (2023), Colorado Rockies (2024), and Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins (2025).
Out-of-Market Access
DIRECTV streaming customers can add MLB.TV to watch out-of-market regular-season games from all 30 teams on smart TVs, smartphones, and consoles. Out-of-market games remain available to DIRECTV satellite subscribers via MLB Extra Innings.
MySports and MyHome Team
DIRECTV's MySports streaming package includes MLB Network and national channels carrying MLB playoff games. The MyHome Team add-on, available for $19.99 per month for MySports subscribers, provides access to local MLB, NBA, or NHL games within a team's home territory. Fans of the nine newly added teams can access local games through MyHome Team.
Commercial Venues
In-market pregame, postgame, and live game coverage for all nine clubs will also be available through DIRECTV FOR BUSINESS, which serves more than 300,000 commercial venues.
Other Regional MLB Coverage
DIRECTV also carries the Texas Rangers' Rangers Sports Network, the Chicago White Sox's Chicago Sports Network, the Houston Astros' Space City Home Network, and the Chicago Cubs' Marquee Sports Network, along with regional sports networks for the Baltimore Orioles, Boston Red Sox, Los Angeles Dodgers, New York Mets, New York Yankees, Athletics, Pittsburgh Pirates, and San Francisco Giants.
