At the 51st Saturn Awards, Keanu Reeves will receive the first-ever Lance Reddick Legacy Award, as announced by the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films.

The whole programme will be devoted to honouring the late Reddick, who passed away in March 2023 at the age of 60.

Keanu Reeves honoured with Lance Reddick Legacy Award Reeves costarred with Reddick in the wildly popular action-thriller series John Wick and the two became friends. In all four films, Reddick played Charon, the hotel concierge at the Continental, where he interacted with John Wick played by Reeves.

Regarding Reeves' impending honour, Saturn producers Bradley and Kevin Marcus, together with Academy President Robert Holguin, issued the following statement: This award symbolises and celebrates not only a performer's talent, but their character; someone who's a true goodwill ambassador in the industry.

Keanu is not just a Hollywood icon but also a shining example of humility and gratitude. Throughout his incredible career, he has never forgotten the support of his fans and the filmmakers who've supported him all these years.

Honour for beloved actor Reeves has acted in science fiction films like The Matrix Trilogy, fantasy films like Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and Constantine, horror films like Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula and The Devil's Advocate, and also contemporary action films like Speed and Point Break.

Reddick sadly passed away before the latest John Wick movie's premiere. The movie is dedicated to his memory, Director Chad Stahelski and star Reeves said in a statement to Variety. The critically acclaimed film John Wick: Chapter 4 is presently up for a SAG award for outstanding performance by a stunt group.

On Sunday 4 February 2024 the 51st Saturn Awards will be held. Joel McHale will serve as the host.
