Hiltron Communications announces a key addition its board with the appointment of Jochen Ermel as Managing Director. He succeeds Joachim K rcher who steps down to concentrate on his activity as Managing Director of Hiltron's sister company, ESA Microwave. Part of the Danmon Group, Hiltron Communications provides a wide range of satcom-related products and services from its headquarters at Backnang near Stuttgart.

His business development experience, HF engineering background and evident team leadership skills are ideally suited to the satcom systems field in which Hiltron has sustained a strong role over many years.

Hiltron Communications has an excellent reputation as an internationally active designer and producer of high-precision satellite communication equipment and systems, adds Jochen Ermel. Satellite communication technology is developing rapidly, particularly in LEO sector with its ability to supplement ground-based telco networks across large areas of sparsely inhabited terrain. We will also endeavour to expand Hiltron's proven capabilities in the broadcast, defence, secure communications and scientific markets.

Graduating in civil engineering and environmental technology at Bundeswehr University Munich, Jochen Ermel was active for 10 years in the field of finance. He then joined Rosenberger Hochfrequenztechnik GmbH & Co. KG where he specialised in the development of product strategies and promotion across a wide range application areas and geographical regions
