Skeem Saam fans on social media have requested the production to get cleansing after a third actor dies this year.

Fans have stated that they've picked up a pattern, that more actors are dying from the show every year than any other soapie in the country.

One viewer asked why they never hear The River, Generation: The Legacy, Uzalo or other soapies announcing actors passing away.

They are now wondering who is next and are scared that another fan-favourite actor might be next.

The comments came after the popular soapie announced that actor Leltlalo Mankabidi who played the role of John Maputla's (Africa Tsoai) uncle on the show passed away on Friday (10 September).

The show announced the passing of the late Mankabidi on their social media accounts on Friday.

The cause of the actor is still unknown at this stage.

-- A LIST OF ACTORS THAT PASSED AWAY Former Metro FM DJ and Skeem Saam actor, Grant Shakoane who played the role of Marothi Maphuthuma's (Macks Papo) uncle on the show passed away in April this year (2021).

Popular broadcaster, Tim Modise took to Twitter to reveal that Shakoane passed away at a Johannesburg hospital.

The cause of Shakoane's death has not been confirmed.

The show also lost 58-year-old actress, Nokuzola Mlengana two months ago (July 2021) from pneumonia.

She portrayed the role of Sis Ouma on the SABC 1 soapie.

Charles Maja

Fan-favourite actor, Charles Maja who played the role of Big Boy Mabitsela on the popular SABC1 soapie suffered a stroke in April 2020 and died at the age of 54.

Karabo Mokhubela

The show also mourned the passing of 40-year-old actor and producer, Karabo Jazzy T' Mokhubela in July 2020.

Mokhubela was best known for his role of Jazzy T on the popular SABC1 soapie.

The cause of his death has not been confirmed by his family.

Paul Rapetsoa

The family of the revered playwright, actor, and retired radio broadcaster, Paul Rapetsoa confirmed his passing in December 2020.

The 70-year-old legendary playwright died a week after testing positive for the Covid-19 coronavirus.

Isaac Thema Mokoena

Renowned actor, Isaac Thema Mokoena who played the role of Ramolao on the SABC1 youth soapie also passed away.

The 52-year-old died in June 2019, at the Steve Biko Academic Hospital in Pretoria after a long battle with a heart condition.

Jannes Eiselen

Actor Jannes Eiselen, who played Charity Ramabu's (Makgofe Moagi) ex-husband Kerrin Edwards on the show passed away in 2016.

The 36-year-old actor, passed away following a six-year battle with brain cancer.
