The Commissioner Androulla Vassiliou calls to devote more efforts in the audiovisual literacy Hay que fijar m s la atenci n en estimular la educaci n audiovisual en los ni os , sostiene Androulla Vassiliou, comisaria europea para la educaci n, la cultura, el multiling ismo y la juventud.
Durante su visita este lunes al festival Cinekid de Amsterdam, la Androulla Vassiliou, comisaria europea para la educaci n, la cultura, el multiling ismo y la juventud, asegur que la educaci n audiovisual, que consiste en entender y en evaluar los diferentes tipos de medios de comunicaci n, entre los cuales los medios interactivos, los peri dicos, las pel culas y las im genes, es una competencia fundamental en una econom a como la actual, fundamentada sobre el conocimiento .
El festival tambi n ha servido para que la comisaria aportara datos sobre el nuevo programa de financiaci n Europa Creativa, que entrar en funcionamiento en el mes de enero de 2014. Este programa, de una duraci n de 7 a os, apoyar el desarrollo y la distribuci n de filmes y de otras obras audiovisuales europeas, as como proyectos transnacionales que estimulen el crecimiento en los sectores de la cultura y de la creaci n. Estos sectores representan actualmente cerca del 4,5% del PIB de la UE y emplean a m s de 8 millones de personas.
Con la condici n de poder beneficiarse de un apoyo adecuado, los sectores de la cultura y de la creaci n pueden acumular muchos m s xitos. Una de nuestras prioridades ser contribuir a la financiaci n de la producci n y de la distribuci n de filmes destinados a los ni os. Tambi n apoyaremos proyectos de calidad en materia de educaci n en los medios y de cultura cinematogr fica. Los medios audiovisuales interactivos que forman parte de la vida cotidiana de los ni os , como por ejemplo los videojuegos educativos, tambi n ser n incluidos en nuestra pol tica de apoyo , ha declarado Vassiliou.
El programa Europa Creativa aportar una financiaci n que se destinar a iniciativas que aporten un indiscutible valor a adido europeo y no duplicar ni reemplazar las financiaciones nacionales. Permitir , por ejemplo, a profesionales de la cultura ya las PYMES a acceder a nuevos mercados, promover la diversidad cultural ya superar las dificultades causadas por la globalizaci n y la fragmentaci n del mercado .
Est previsto que el presupuesto de Europa Creativa sea de un total de 1.460 millones de euros para el periodo 2014-2020, lo que representar a un aumento del 9% respecto a los niveles de financiaciones actuales. Se espera que el Parlamento Europeo y los Estados miembros acaben de concretar el presupuesto durante el mes de noviembre.
El programa est abierto a 37 pa ses europeos ( 28 Estados miembros m s Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Islandia, Liechtenstein, la antigua Rep blica yugoslava de Macedonia, Montenegro, Noruega, Serbia y Turqu a). Los organismos que trabajen a nivel transnacional tambi n podr n presentar sus solicitudes de financiaci n que ser n evaluadas en funci n de criterios precisos especificados en las convocatorias publicadas a trav s de este enlace. No existen cuotas predefinidas para pa ses: las solicitudes de financiaci n ser n evaluadas por expertos independientes para asegurar que s lo ser n seleccionadas las mejores .
