Ningbo ranks 9 on Alipay Internet Plus Government Work List

Government work report has also adopted the Internet Plus pattern by having a QR code on its cover. In the report, the Internet Plus is emphasized for the third consecutive time and the government puts forward the promotion of Internet Plus Government Work project.

On March 6, the Alipay Internet Plus Government Work List was published on Xinhua news app giving a general picture of the implementation of the Internet Plus Government Work project. The statistics show that Ningbo has 55 Alipay services, ranking the 9th on the list and the traffic fines service section is most visited.

3,000 daily payments for fines per capita

The statistics show first and second tier cities promote the Internet Plus Government Work project more actively. The first 10 cities on the list are the first tier cities, providing at least 53 services each on Alipay. Shenzhen ranks first with 83 services, Hangzhou second with 78 services and Shanghai and Beijing both third with 74 services each.

Ningbo ranks the 9th with 55 services of which traffic fines, social security, public accumulation fund, traffic violation and traffic police services are most popular.

In 2016, the traffic police service was put forward on Alipay. The service requires real name registration and has 2 million followers; 3,000 payments for fines per capita per day are done through the service. Thanks to the service, drivers can pay their fines on their mobile phones within 10 seconds, saving much time compared with the traditional way, which takes at least 30 minutes.

Internet Plus Government Work development deepens

Because of the development of the Internet Plus Government Work project, people are enabled to complete the tasks on their mobile phone without going out.

In 2016, government service networks were gradually established at a larger scope and more cross-department services were put forward like the Zhejiang-Jiangsu government service network and mobile insurance payment service in Shenzhen and Zhejiang.

Liu Xiaojie, General Manager of the public service department of Ant Financial, says more services will be established online and deepening the integration of different parts will also be a main focus of the development of Internet Plus .
