VSN announces new partnership with SNEWS for Enhanced and Interoperable News Production

VSN, a global technology company specializing in providing advanced software solutions for the Broadcast and Media sector, today officially announced a new partnership with SNEWS, the Brazilian company specializing in fully integrated and cost-effective broadcast solutions for content and news production workflows. This new partnership will bring customers the possibility of centralizing and unifying news production under one single workspace to maximize efficiency.

VSN and SNEWS bundle their news production and content management strategies, so that clients of both companies can benefit from an interoperable solution to produce news their way. VSN's NewsConnect, the first web plugin for a MAM system that allows for the full customisation of a news production work environment, now integrates with ANEWS Newsroom Computer System (NRCS), so that users can access through the ANEWS interface directly to VSN's MAM system and the rest of third party tools required, regardless of the vendor that they come from.

The combination of NewsConnect and ANEWS ultimately allows the visualisation of all the assets and videos stored in the VSNExplorer MAM system from within the interface of ANEWS NRCS. Moreover, it also gives users simple, straightforward access to all the advantages and features of VSNExplorer MAM - such as fast cataloguing; advanced search of assets and video files; proxy player; video editing capabilities; and retrieval of content, among others.

This new partnership paves the way to a single interface approach in News Production, where journalists and editors can benefit from a simple, fast access to all the tools that enable them to write their news pieces; locate the video files needed; edit them - including voiceover and CGs; see how the final news piece will look in real-time; and send those news pieces to broadcast or web and social media publishing anytime anywhere.

VSN NewsConnect integration with ANEWS provides users with the flexibility and freedom of choice demanded in today's fast-moving broadcast and media environment. , says Roberto Duif, LATAM Sales Director at VSN. ANEWS now has one more solution available in its suite of integrations, spreading it's possibilities to centralize a journalism production in a single interface. says Marcos Assis, Project Analyst at SNEWS. This integration provides a tool for media visualization, placeholder creation, video markup, proxy visualization and advanced search features, without the need for an external tool, through a plugin that works within ANEWS itself.

An add-on for the VSNExplorer platform for media and workflow management, the VSN NewsConnect web plugin allows broadcast and media companies to interconnect via MOS any leading NRCS, CG, NLE, studio playout system and video servers, within a single, intuitive, centralized workspace to create a seamless workflow for news production.

ANEWS software is the favorite NRCS for those who have no time to lose and, no matter where they are, want to have immediate access to all the important information. Designed to bring convenience and efficiency into the newsrooms, it is an all-round solution for Broadcasters, promoting speed in the way they produce and playout news.
