IVP Promotes Michael Miao

Menlo Park, CA - January 17, 2018 - IVP, a premier later-stage venture capital and growth equity firm, is pleased to announce that it has promoted Michael Miao to Senior Associate.

Michael is a highly valued member of the IVP team. Since joining IVP in January 2016, Michael has contributed across all dimensions of our investment practice. His promotion is well deserved and reflects the firm's continued momentum in strengthening our investment team as we begin to invest IVP XVI, said Somesh Dash, General Partner.

Michael focuses on identifying and evaluating later-stage enterprise software, Internet, and mobile investments. He worked on IVP's investments in Anomali, Grammarly, Pure Storage (PSTG), and TransferWise, and is actively involved with Aerohive Networks (HIVE), Domo, Dropbox, GroundTruth, Mindbody (MB), OnDeck (ONDK), Prosper, SoFi, and ZipRecruiter. Prior to joining IVP, Michael worked at Dropbox, an IVP portfolio company, in the Strategic Finance team where he led numerous cross-functional projects across corporate finance, corporate strategy, and product management. He also worked in the Technology Investment Banking group at Deutsche Bank, where he advised corporate clients in the software and Internet sector on a wide array of equity, debt, M&A, and capital structure considerations. Michael graduated Magna Cum Laude from UC Berkeley's Haas School of Business, where he earned a B.S. in Business Administration.
