Production Co-ordinator

Scheduling of post-production facilities, internally and with external suppliers, Manage an effective workflow and ensure that deadlines are set, and adhered to

Assist On-Air Team in facilitating and actioning any requests that are made pertaining to the optimum functioning of the On-Air Department

Assist On-Air Creative Manager with production budgets, purchase orders, invoices and reconciliation thereof

Identify post-production requirements of jobs briefed into the On-Air department, and facilitate relevant bookings and traffic flows

Plan production time with on-air team, including material requests, and ensure delivery deadlines are met punctually

Ensure that projects are kept within the given time frame and budget

Obtain relevant rights/permissions for use of stock footage and music

Booking, retainers and rates negotiations of voice over artists and freelance creative staff

To develop collaborative working relationships with designers, promo producers, editors and audio engineers, to improve production processes.

Quality control: Check and ensure that all messages communicated are correct and that the promo adheres to internal and industry broadcast standards

Assist On-Air Creative Manager in continuously improving production processes and information handling to ensure maximum time and budget efficiency and productive communication

Minimum two years experience as a production co-ordinator and/or traffic control manager for On-Air department in similar TV environment

A detailed understanding of video and television production work-flows

Proven communication skills

Excellent vocabulary and command of the English language

Ability to work with and communicate with an international team

Highly developed skills in time and priority management

Proactive approach to problem solving

Attention to detail

Ability to work in high pressure situations

Understanding of the budgeting process, including handling of purchase orders and invoices
