RT S COVERAGE OF BUDGET 2013, WEDNESDAY 5th DECEMBER 04 December 2013: RT will have comprehensive coverage across all platforms - television, radio, online and mobile of Budget 2013 on Wednesday, 5th December

Television:

On RT One, Budget 2013 begins at 2.00pm with live coverage of the Budget speeches by the Minister for Finance, Michael Noonan TD and the Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform, Brendan Howlin TD. The programme is presented by Bryan Dobson and Keelin Shanley and will have live coverage and analysis until 5.35pm. Nuacht follows on RT One at 5.40pm. Live coverage of D il ireann will continue on RT Two between 3.45 and 7.00pm.

There will be an extended Six One News with a comprehensive look at the Budget, analysis from RT correspondents and early reaction from politicians and interest groups,

This will run until 7.30pm. Later that evening there will be a longer Nine O'Clock News, followed by a Prime Time Budget Special at 9.40pm presented by Miriam O'Callaghan and Richard Crowley.

Radio:

RT Radio 1's Budget 2013 coverage sees Mary Wilson present a specially-extended Drivetime Budget Special between 2.25 pm 7.00pm.On Thursday 6th December from 10am on Today with Pat Kenny, Minister for Finance Michael Noonan TD and Minister for Public Expenditure and Reform Brendan Howlin TD will be live in studio for a post-Budget phone-in.

Della Kilroy will be reporting from the D il whilst Brian Lally and Katriona McFadden will be gauging the public's reaction on the ground in Dublin and Donegal respectively.

RT Raidi na Gaeltachta:

RT Raidi na Gaeltachta will provide full coverage and analysis of the Budget in a programme live from Leinster House, L na C inaisn ise, from 3.45pm. A panel of speakers, including Des Geraghty, former President of SIPTU, journalist ine N Chiar in, tax consultant Ciar n Feinneadha, and sociologist Se n Riain, will provide analysis. Representatives of the country's political parties will also give their reactions to the Budget. The programme will be presented by M ir n N Ghadhra, and produced by Caitl n N Chual in.

RT .ie will have a special section, including a live blog with user comments, an embedded live video player, and the key points of Budget 2013. Users will also get a live stream from RT Radio 1, on-demand video and text of the Ministers' Budget speeches, plus essential on-demand interviews, analysis and reaction.
