Wanda Film Holding and Christie created the laboratory of research and development Cinema Technology Center of Excellence (ETSC)The subsidiary of the Wanda Group, largest exhibitor of cinema from Asia, and Christie set up in Qingdao (China) a centre of research and development (r & d) in the service of film technology.

Christie It has signed an agreement with Wanda Film Holdinga subsidiary of the Wanda Group and major exhibitor of cinema from Asia, to jointly found a Center for research and development (r & d) in the service of film technology. The facilities will be located at the headquarters of Wanda Studios in Qingdao, in china of Shandong province.

The sole proprietor of Wanda-Christie new Centre for excellence in film technology (ETSC) will be Wanda Film Holding. Its status as exclusive partner, Christie will be responsible to operate high-tech facilities, contributing to r & d in digital cinema projection systems using projection technology RGB laser tailored to the needs of Wanda Film Holding and its subsidiaries throughout the world; RGB laser solutions to renew xenon bulb projection systems; technologies of cinema for large auditoriums premium of Wanda (in the areas of imaging, audio, display and 3D/4 d technology); LED screens for cinema; proposals for service centers of operation network, and comparative tests of xenon lamps and other lighting technologies competitive.

John Zeng, President of Wanda Film Holding, explains that "we are pleased collaborate again with Christie, a partner of many years; on this occasion to establish the ETSC at our headquarters in Studios in Qingdao. The agreement will mean a turning point and will take the relationship of our two companies to new heights. I am confident that Christies strong commitment to technological innovation, and in space with the RGB laser, consolidate our position at the forefront of film technologies more advanced and help us to continue providing innovative experiences "and high quality to our customers".

The ETSC attends Wanda and Christie in fields such as the selection of laser/lighting technology, including advice, beyond where needed is, when choosing, worldwide, best update of xenon laser RGB technology, based on more than 60,000 digital projectors for Christie film installed in rooms around the world. In addition, the new Center will guide product development of Christie, especially in everything related to products customized for the exclusive use of Wanda or any of its subsidiaries. Christie will also use the ETSC as its main centre of commercial testing of all new film products.

Wanda Film Holding and Christie they will officially inaugurate the ETSC in a ceremony that will take place on April 27in which top executives of the two companies will discover a commemorative plaque. The event will also be attended by local dignitaries from the Ministry of science and technology of China.

Before this collaboration, Wanda Film Holding had signed an exclusive agreement for strategic partnership with Christie for the installation of thousands of digital projectors for movie 2 K and 4 K of the series, Christie Solaria, as well as the solution Christie lives Audio in some rooms.

Wanda Film Holding and Christie have also embarked in recent years on initiatives to promote the development of technology, mark and Wanda rooms Hall 9 market, some of which (such as CBD Wanda Plaza and Tongzhou Wanda Plaza in Beijing and) Shanghai Wujiaochang Wanda Cinema) have been equipped with projection laser RGB of Christie and Live Audio cinema sound system.
