Amazon Announces Best-Selling Books of 2014

The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd is the best-selling book overall, with The Heroes of Olympus Book Five: The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan topping the list for Kids & Teens books

The Most Wished For books are All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr and Capital in the Twenty-First Century by Thomas Piketty; the Most Gifted book is Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul by Jeff Kinney

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 12, 2014-- (NASDAQ:AMZN)-Amazon today announced its best-selling books of 2014, best-selling Kids & Teens books, as well as the Most Gifted and Most Wished For books of the year-just in time for last-minute holiday gifting. The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd is the best-selling book overall and John Grisham's latest novel Gray Mountain comes in at number two. The Heroes of Olympus Book Five: The Blood of Olympus by Rick Riordan is the best-selling Kids & Teens book, followed by Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul by Jeff Kinney. The Long Haul was also the Most Gifted book this year, while All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr and Capital in the Twenty-First Century by Thomas Piketty were the Most Wished For.
