PlayBox Neo (www.playboxneo.com) will demonstrate the latest enhancements to its Channel in a Box range of modular channel branding and playout products during the 2019 NAB Show in Las Vegas, April 8th-11th. Exhibiting at booth SL11216 PlayBox Neo will be represented by Pavlin Rahnev (CEO), Van Duke (US Director of Operations) and colleagues from the companys sales and support offices around the globe.
Demand for our Channel in a Box products is stronger than ever both in America and worldwide, Pavlin Rahnev comments. Recent installations have included WLVT-PBS39 in Pennsylvania, IIW in Tennessee and Miracle Channel in Canada. Further afield, our Cairo-based partner Modern Broadcast Center has completed a large system with 40 PlayBox Neo Channel in a Box servers for Nilesats state-of-the-art playout facility.
NAB 2019 sees the US introduction of Cloud2TV, an IP-based and totally software-centric media playout and channel branding solution. This can be deployed standalone or to extend the scale and versatility of PlayBox Neos established Channel in a Box product range.
Cloud2TV rewrites the rulebook on IP-based and totally software-centric media playout, Van Duke adds. Available now, it offers the easiest, fastest, most efficient and flexible way to create, manage and deliver a channel.
Building on 20 years of innovation in IT-based playout system development, Cloud2TV allows channel owners to expand from traditional SDI delivery to hybrid SDI and IP streaming and onward to fully functional cloud transmission. A single operator can assemble, schedule and transmit television content via terrestrial, satellite, cable or CDN.
Cloud2TV delivers for any scale of operation all the features our customers have been requesting over the years. That includes the ability to transmit in fully automated mode while retaining the freedom to make schedule alterations or insert live content between prescheduled content.
The user interface is more intuitive than ever and designed for easy supervision during long shifts. Control is via a web-based interface with administrator-adjustable rights assignment, fast and easy channel management, action-logging and notifications.
Cloud2TV retains the modularity which makes PlayBox Neo solutions easy to configure for a standalone OTT streaming channel and upward all the way to a multi-language multi-timezone television network, adds Pavlin Rahnev. Specific Cloud2TV application modules are assigned to content ingest, graphic editing, media browsing with metadata handling and clip trimming, quality control and verification, transcoding, playlist management and audit logging. Each module functions individually but co-ordinates closely with its companion modules to support the workflow of an entire TV channel.
Cloud2TV incorporates numerous advantages such as fast and on-demand channel launch, endless scalability, 24/7 reliability, web-based access and IP workflow. Software updates and PlayBox Neos proven high-quality 24/7 global support are standard.
Cloud2TV is available in three forms:
