Ross Video has announced the appointment of Chris Lennon as director, Standards Strategy, within the Office of the CTO.

He will report to CTO Troy English and manage the company's activities in global standards and trade bodies.

Lennon has held a variety of leadership positions in the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers and is a SMPTE Fellow and recipient of SMPTE's prestigious 2008 Citation. He also serves as executive director of the Open Services Alliance, a global industry organisation focused on interoperability among microservice-oriented media systems.

Lennon said, Ross has always prided itself on innovation and on influencing industry standards for the benefit for everyone. This industry-first approach has brought amazing success, and I'm looking forward to working with the team and our trade partners to define the next generation of industry standards.

ARRI has appointed Stephan Schenk to the newly created position of general manager global sales and solutions. He will report to executive board member Markus Zeiler. The company's goal is to combine sales and service activities across all ARRI product groups and expand the systems business across all markets.

Schenk will be responsible for all the sales and service departments of the camera systems and lighting business units, including the ARRI System Group in Berlin. The regional managers from the Americas, China, East Asia Pacific, and EMEAI will all report to him.

Schenk joined ARRI in 2009, as head of ARRI's Business Unit Camera Systems. He was appointed to general manager of Arnold & Richter Cine Technik in 2014.

Discovery's global CTO for broadcast technology and operations, Simon Farnsworth, has joined recruitment specialists neuco as a non-executive director.

Farnsworth, who was included in TVBEurope's 2021 Watch List, has been tasked with helping to guide neuco through their next stage of growth by bringing additional clarity to their strategy and decision making . The company said his goal is to objectively challenge the management team to help the business become an even better organisation.

To see how the neuco management team have put their foot on the accelerator since the start of the pandemic shows a great determination to succeed, and that's something exciting to be a part of, said Farnsworth. With my background and experience, I feel I can add real value to their growth plans as their new non-executive director.
