Samsung Launches Food Showcase Refrigerator in the UK on Jan 27, 2014 Features include ShowCase Door and InnerCase, Designed to make food organisation more convenient
Samsung Electronics today introduced its new Food Showcase refrigerator at Samsung European Forum 2014 held in Malaga, Spain. Its innovative design means you can split the refrigerator area with two layers of doors. The ShowCase lets you access any frequently used items straight away, and the InnerCase keeps food and drink items that you need to store for a longer period of time at the perfect temperature. The ShowCase section offers easy-reach access from top to bottom, meaning you can store more and grab snacks and drinks quickly.

ShowCase for Frequently Used Food Items
The ShowCase, which opens only the exterior door of the refrigerator, is designed to make organising and consuming food as easy as possible for every member of the household. Once opened, you can find what you want with one simple glance. There are also multiple customisable food compartments within the ShowCase: for sauces, drinks and snacks. Divided into three zones, each compartment works to the needs of your family:
The Cooking Zone (upper level) - cheese and sauces
The Family Zone (mid level) - drinks and snacks
The Kids Zone (lower level) - food items for younger members of the family
For added convenience, the lower compartments are detachable and can be placed directly on the table. The ShowCase also features a Metal Cooling door that effectively keeps cooled air within the refrigerator.
InnerCase for Preserving Food
The InnerCase is designed to store food items such as meat, fruit and vegetables. Unlike conventional refrigerators with a single cooling outlet for each of the freezer and refrigerator, Samsungs All Round Cooling, evenly cools every inch of the fridge as well as the freezer. Cold air is blown out through multiple outlets at every level. As a result, the refrigerator area keeps fruit and vegetables fresher for longer and the freezer reduces freezer burn, and as a result better maintains the quality of frozen food.
Ice & Water Dispenser
At the touch of a button, you can enjoy a refreshing glass of chilled filtered water or fill a pitcher with cubed or crushed ice. The Ice Master is built into the door, giving you valuable extra space by freeing up two additional shelves in the freezer while still being able to store up to 2kg of ice. The detachable Ice Case is a freezer drawer that can be used to store extra ice and other frozen items. It can also be quickly removed and used to serve ice without having to transfer it to a separate bowl.
Smart Digital Inverter Technology
Samsung's Digital Inverter Technology is also incorporated into the Food Showcase, which improves energy efficiency and cooling performance by automatically adjusting the compressor in response to cooling demands. Whether you frequently open and close the refrigerator door or there are changes to the outside temperature, the compressor reacts quickly by providing cool air or slows down to reduce unnecessary energy consumption. Thanks to this smart technology, it is possible to enjoy big energy savings, less noise and a much more durable appliance. The Digital Inverter Technology comes with a 10-year warranty.

The Samsung Food ShowCase refrigerator will be available to buy in the UK from May 2014. Pricing is subject to individual retailers.
