Signiant sponsors the 14th annual AIBs

Signiant Inc, a market leader in intelligent file transfer, is sponsoring the AIBs 2018 - the Association for International Broadcasting's 14th annual awards event for factual video, audio and interactive productions, taking place in London on 7 November 2018. This is the third year that Signiant has partnered with the AIBs.

It's really good to have Signiant involved yet again in sponsoring the AIBs, said Tom Wragg, business development director at AIB. We don't get many technology companies supporting the awards, but they are a great opportunity to get to know the people who are using your services and what they care about. Signiant's leaders understand how important that is.

The Association for International Broadcasting (AIB) is the only global trade association for international broadcasters and people who support international broadcasters. Founded in 1993 by service radio operations including the BBC World Service and Voice of America when radio was the only broadcast that crossed international boundaries, the AIB has grown along with the globalisation of the industry and the advancement of the Internet and IP technology.

Members of the AIB operate television, radio and online services in multiple languages that, every week, reach well in excess of one billion people in almost every country. Keeping pace with its members' concerns, AIB offers specialised Working Groups that provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge and expertise on subjects including cyber security, audience research, and international regulatory and legal affairs. The newest Working Group is looking at how international broadcasters can support the United Nation's 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Winners of the AIBs come from everywhere. It doesn't matter what language they're in, it doesn't matter the budget or the scale or the audience size, they're judged purely on the quality of the programming, said Wragg. And they've become very popular because they give that level playing field between all types of broadcasters.
