Peter MacAvock, bit Broadcast 2014 MacAvock will lead a workshops in BIT Broadcast Tuesday 20, at 5 in the afternoon, in a unique opportunity to share experiences and vision for the future with one of the great gurus of the industry.

Peter MacAvock, director of the area of distribution and services in the European Broadcasting Union (EBU/UER), will travel to Madrid next week to participate in BIT Broadcast 2014, the international exhibition of the technology Audiovisual which will take place at Feria de Madrid from 20 to 22 May.

Internationally recognized as one of the leading experts on digital television, MacAvock leads the team responsible for projects related to technologies of content distribution, spectrum management and software platforms. Among other tasks, is responsible for issues related to the spectrum of higher level projects managed by the EBU in relation to radio and TV hybrid, including HbbTv, DVB or Radio DNS.

Irish by birth, MacAvock lives and works in Switzerland. As executive director of the DVB Project played an important role in the development and implementation of the digital television standard.

The EBU Technical Department, MacAvock plays a very active role in the standardization of DRM, DVB and ETSI standards.

Peter MacAvock will lead a workshops in BIT Tuesday 20, to the 5 pm Broadcast. Without a doubt, it will be a unique opportunity to share experiences and vision for the future with one of the great gurus of the industry.
